It’s possible I have over-extended myself. Between my job, running Writers’ Society, working as a student representative, seeing friends, and running this blog, my university assignments have been falling through the cracks a bit. Why can’t the days be longer? I don’t have enough time for everything I want to do and unfortunately this means I’ll have to start saying no to things. No, I can’t take an extra shift at work, no I can’t hang out tomorrow, no I can’t do a trip to London next week.

My course relies a lot on independent study. It takes some getting used to, especially for a procrastinator like me. In an average week, I’ll have six hours of class time, although no two weeks are alike. Some weeks, like last week, I have two hours, others, like next week, are twelve or potentially as much as fourteen. But even then, there are a lot of hours which I am expected to fill with work on my own. I have seven assignments I should be working on in the library tomorrow, five of which I am behind on. I don’t even know where to start!

In other news, a lot of my classmates are now starting up blogs of their own. One of our courses—a fairly complicated one where there are four groups of us and every two weeks we switch teachers and learn a new topic—tells us to keep up an online presence or something like that. I won’t have that particular topic for another two or so weeks, but when I get to it I imagine I’ll be either very bored or very smug. Possibly both.

I’m looking forward to the topic I’ll be learning on Monday: How to submit work. I first said I would submit work back when I was fifteen. Six years later and I’ve still never submitted anything anywhere. I’d say this is a topic I should pay careful attention to.

Hope you all have a good weekend!
