London Day 2

Siân and I got up bright and early with the goal of going shopping in London’s one and only Camden Market. We were there for hours.

For those of you who’ve never been, Camden is basically a town of small tents where people sell their wares. These tents are everywhere. And they sell everything.

There is a lot of good food, crowds everywhere, and live music, too. It’s like a permanent party. We went around and I got a pair of patterned shorts and patterned joggers. Siân got earrings, a jean jacket, and a tapestry.

After we went through the entire market, we were off to Hyde Park for a calmer, less crowded rest of the day.

On the way, we got to see some people practicing for the Queen’s 90th birthday party.

Because we were tired just from being on our feet and carrying our stuff around all day, we found a bench to sit at for another hour or two. We chilled and talked and soon enough all the people at other benches were different from when we first sat down.

The park was beautiful, and eventually we decided to explore more of it. We ended up going around this pretty river/lake.

And as we neared the end of the day, Siân had a train to catch. I went with her to the station and we said our goodbyes, and went our separate ways. I don’t know when I’ll see her next, but I look forward to it.

I tried to go exploring a bit after that but most places were closed and I got lost a few times so I ended up getting some food at a vietnamese place next to our hostel which is ironic because I said I definitely didn’t want to do that. It turned out to be pretty good, though.
