This post will mostly be a simple gallery of what my room looked like right before I left. I still haven’t got art on the walls and the desk is missing a drawer because Ikea gave us the wrong screws (they screwed us, hehe), but other than those few things, I’m pretty happy with it. Perhaps I’ve got a career in interior design…
Today was a big day. My room looks more like a bedroom and less like a construction site than it has in months. Jeez. Months. Has it really taken me that long? Nonetheless, I did what I wanted to do before I leave again for England, and tonight I will be able to reap my reward by sleeping in my own bed again, finally. Continue reading
I thought I finished Book 3 back in the first week of June. I started the next book and everything, but something about the way it ended just didn’t feel right. For the past five weeks, I kept going back to how things ended. When I considered crossing out everything I’d written since then and trying again, my sister told me I was crazy. Over the weekend, I added another chapter to the end of Book 3 anyway. I’m satisfied with it now, although it’s only a first draft and far from acceptable.
In a way, I’ve felt like that with a lot of things, like they didn’t feel complete, but they were good enough. Continue reading
