Surreal: Short Film

I’ve been busy. So busy that the only thing that reminds me I don’t actually have a job is my back account. So I haven’t been posting. However, I was in a half-hour long short film which is finally out and I figured at the very least I could share it with you all.

Future Plans 2017

When I was still at my job, I felt burned out at the end of every day. In the beginning I used to write when I could, but it turned into more work on top of already exhausting work. For the majority of my time I wasn’t doing any writing outside of this blog at all. It made me feel like I had gone across the ocean, studied for three years, chased my passion, and it was all for nothing. I was doing a job I didn’t enjoy and kept working just for the money. I saw myself growing old there, maybe becoming the assistant manager in five years, the manager in ten years, and I saw a future where working retail would become my life. And it scared the hell out of me. So I left.

It’s Who You’re With

Yesterday evening, I found myself with one-hundred-and-sixty-six other people in a room not even close to big enough. I was breathing in their sweat and sweating out their spit. We were all gathered in this room awaiting our turn to perform for an audience of fifty-five people–which is supposed to be a lot. It was the Performing Arts showcase, a brilliant medley of dancing, singing, and acting, all around one extremely important holiday: Christmas.
