I went to Banff this past weekend with my dad, my brother, my aunt, and my grandma. We didn’t see much of the town and we didn’t explore much of the mountains as per our usual activities when we’re in town. We spent nearly the entirety of our three-day excursion in the Fairmont Banff Springs hotel which is basically a castle in the mountains like out of a fairytale. It looks like this:

My dad is a Mensa member and we were attending the Mensa gathering there, which was themed “Game of Mensans” after Game of Thrones. We lived in the hotel from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon, completing challenges, making friends, and feasting. I was one of the few who did not dress up in medieval or Game of Thrones costumes, although I did get a plastic crown at the beginning. Not sure what happened to it…

It was quite the experience to be in a hotel styled like a castle surrounded by people in complete costumes. For the most part, I had a lot of fun. There was good food and great music. If you don’t follow me on snapchat (imiller27), you missed out. Luckily here’s my story from Saturday so you can see what kind of awesome stuff I snap. (If you’re quick, you’ll get to see some snaps of my dog getting a bath.)
