I once lamented that leaving Calgary didn't make it feel any less my home, but after living in Winchester for three years I had two homes, which meant I would always be homesick for at least one of them no matter where I went. Now I'm in my fourth year of living in Toronto, my … Continue reading A Kind of Sickness: An Angsty Lament
10 Years of Precarious Writer: A Retrospective.
Holy smokes. I've been informed (against my will, I might add) that I've had this blog for ten years now. It's amazing to think back to where I was when I began. 2014 December 2014, Winchester, England. I was studying Creative Writing, hoping to someday work in publishing because that was the only thing I … Continue reading 10 Years of Precarious Writer: A Retrospective.
Touring Southern Alberta
Earlier this month, I returned to my home province of Alberta for my cousin's wedding and made it a whole 2-week trip. The last time I visited was for a funeral and the time before that was to get Skipper and make my move to Toronto official, so this was kind of my first time … Continue reading Touring Southern Alberta

The Nosebleed
In case you don't know, I regularly avoid posting about things as they happen unless they're time sensitive. This story happened eight years ago, in the end-days of my time in university. It was a decently interesting thing and well worth writing about, but at the time I didn't tell anyone about it, not even … Continue reading The Nosebleed

I Got Into An Acting Conservatory
Hello. It's been a while. I should probably update you and write about how completely my life has changed in a very short amount of time. I'll keep this as short as I can, but who are we kidding. I'm wordy. Part 1: I Got Into An Acting Conservatory Part 2: I Moved To Toronto … Continue reading I Got Into An Acting Conservatory
Lake Minnewanka
As I worked on the pitch for my web series, I realized that even though I'd put my novel writing on hold, I didn't want to give up the story entirely. It wasn't going to be as easy to pick my novel back up as it was to put down. A story has peaks and … Continue reading Lake Minnewanka
An Edmonton Overnighter
I recently got my first booking through my agent since signing with her a year and a half ago. I've gotten a few callbacks before, and I've been booking roles that haven't been through my agent, but this was the first proper booking, so that was exciting. On top of that, it was in Edmonton. … Continue reading An Edmonton Overnighter
A Day in Kananaskis
I've gotta say, filming vlogs every day for my month in Vietnam last summer was one of the best things I could have done in order to learn vlogging and figure out my new camera. On Saturday my dad and I went to Kananaskis for a little day trip. My camera skills have improved greatly … Continue reading A Day in Kananaskis
