For those of you who are unaware, today is Canada Day. Some of my best memories have been on this date, including camping with family, my first time going up the Calgary Tower as a kid, getting to choose a new book at the bookstore, seeing fireworks with my first boyfriend, exploring celebrations downtown with my siblings, and on and on. It’s a day that brings Canadians out to celebrate together, and makes me feel proud of the beautiful country I am fortunate to call home and connected with the rest of my fellow Canadians.
As I worked on the pitch for my web series, I realized that even though I’d put my novel writing on hold, I didn’t want to give up the story entirely. It wasn’t going to be as easy to pick my novel back up as it was to put down. A story has peaks and valleys; I’d stopped in a valley and it was difficult to find the momentum to reach the next peak from there. So I turned to research, where I always turn when I want to get my head into the story without actually writing. However, on this occasion, Google wasn’t enough.
I needed the mountains.
I’ve gotta say, filming vlogs every day for my month in Vietnam last summer was one of the best things I could have done in order to learn vlogging and figure out my new camera.
OK so I’ve got pictures on my camera of my recent adventures BUT I forgot the little cord that gets pictures from my camera to my laptop. So here are the pictures I took on my phone instead.
On Fridays I have Weeklies, what if on Mondays I have Outfits of the Week? I’ll do a trial run today. If you like it, please like this post so I know and I’ll do more in the future!
