Hope you guys had a great weekend!
Kicking off the posts this week will be the outfit I wore to my pitch presentation for my Scriptwriting class. It’s professional and still fashion-forward without being too wild or distracting, so it would make a good work outfit. We were told it would be best to wear all-black for our presentation, but if you want to trade out any of the pieces for something more colourful, feel free. Adding sunglasses will easily take you from work-wear to celebrity status. You might recognize these sunglasses that I keep pulling out as the vintage pair I got a few weeks ago.
As you can see, the look is pretty simple. The blazer and skirt are from Aritzia. Blazers are an excellent staple for work clothes. I usually size down my skirts so they fit around my waist better. The shirt is a plain long-sleeved shirt from Primark.
The oxfords are from New Look. I love how oxfords can make a look feel fancier without having three-inch heels that hurt when you walk. You can also wear them with jeans and a t-shirt and a leather jacket and they’ll still look great. They add a touch of class to any outfit. The tights are from YesStyle, but you can get black opaque tights anywhere, or just skip the tights altogether. The shorts I wore under the skirt were also from YesStyle.
So what do you think? Is there anything you love or would definitely change? Comment below! And please don’t forget to vote for a theme here! Today’s the last day!
