To be honest, the way my year has started has been probably one of the worst starts to a year I can remember. Sorry I keep disappearing.

I quit my job this week and it took a lot out of me. Something about not having a regular like that, no job or school and not knowing how long you’ll be free-falling, is sort of…terrifying. And there have been other things, too. Not even since the beginning of the year, but since Christmas Eve. Everything likes to happen at once, it seems. So I took a couple of days to catch my breath.

Sometimes, I wish I could up and run away to Paris again, just for a weekend. There’s family stuff, and I need more friends, and I need a job (click here!), and I’m preparing for my trip to Toronto, and my laptop broke, and I’ve been feeling a bit of anxiety. Although, this week it manifested itself in the form of dread. That’s new.

Things will get better. They always do. In the meantime, I will be blogging again. I know when I started out my goal here was to do a blog post per day, but I don’t think that’s ideal anymore. I’m thinking around two per week, and if I want to do more, I will. But I won’t force myself. Besides, in some ways, I was already kind of doing two per week. On average.

Anyway, remember how I used to have “Weeklies” except they never happened weekly? Well I think I’m just going to go ahead and do monthly favourites now.

Movie: LaLaLand

I saw this nearly a week ago and the music’s still stuck in my head. It’s like a modern day Singing in the Rain.

TV Show: A Series of Unfortunate Events

I was around thirteen when I started reading the books, but never finished them. The show is fresh, funny, horrible, relevant, and satisfying. I might need to give the books another chance.

Book: The Female of the Species

Song: All Time Low

I like it because it’s easy to sing along to.
