Way back in December, I got cast in my first union role as Kelli in Ming’s Dynasty. I got to be on set for two days for this project and it was so much fun! The project itself is also super funny and creative.

Theatre or Film?
When people find out I’m an actor, often the first question they ask is “Film or theatre?” I’ve always answered film because that’s been what I wanted to do since I first wanted to act, and more recently screen acting is the only kind I do. But like many actors, I got my start in theatre.
New Shows 2017
There’ve been a lot of shows so far in 2017 and I haven’t seen them all, not to mention the ones that have yet to come out, but I’ve seen a few. If you’re looking for a new show to watch, you’re in luck because I’m going to tell you about a few of the shows I think are worth watching.
Faves: January 2017
To be honest, the way my year has started has been probably one of the worst starts to a year I can remember. Sorry I keep disappearing.
(#21) Weeklies
Just because I’m busy all the time doesn’t mean I don’t still enjoy stuff. Here are this month’s weeklies (because let’s face it, these only ever happen every month anymore).
My Commentary on Supergirl
The following won’t contain any huge spoilers, as in, nothing you won’t have already guessed if you’ve seen the trailer or the first episode of any superhero-type of tv show ever. Still, if you get annoyed at any spoilers at all, just watch the show first.
I watched the pilot of Supergirl and the entire time, I was messaging my thoughts to my friend Pat. Instead of writing an articulate critical article here, I thought I’d just copy and paste most of my comments. Enjoy.
(#18) Weeklies
I completely forgot Weeklies even existed. The last time I did one was way back in June. Oops.
(#15) Weeklies
Having a break from school leaves a lot of room for…well, everything else! That plus the fact that I didn’t have wifi for last week’s Weeklies means I have a lot lined up for this one. Shall we begin?
Food: Chinese takeout. So convenient for lazy days, and it will literally last you days.
(#14) Weeklies
Fresh Off The Boat
It is that time of semester again. All my assignments except for one are due within the next two weeks. My past three days have been completely packed. I’ve been busy and I will be busy for a little while longer. That’s why I’ve been blogging less. Hopefully things will go back to normal around April 2nd.
Instead of another Weeklies, I’ve decided to just do a television show review today.

*Note, I’m about to say “Asians” a bunch of times. I know Asia is huge and there are a lot of asians who aren’t from or descended from south-east Asia. I never really say Asians are just from south-east Asia or look like it, but I don’t say otherwise for the rest of this review either, so I just thought I’d say it here. “Asian” is a really broad term for describing people.
Television – Fresh Off The Boat
The struggles of a 90s kid with asian immigrant parents whose family moves to Orlando to start a western restaurant. 30 mins, Comedy. (I just did my pitch for Scriptwriting for Mainstream Television yesterday. Can you tell?) According to Wiki, it’s ‘based on chef Eddie Huang’s memoir of the same name’ and stars Hudson Yang as Eddie, Randall Park and Constance Wu as his parents, and Eddie Huang narrating as himself.
