Things have been happening and I’ve been absent. So much for writing my “two posts a week”. Sorry.

BUT I have news. Things are happening.

The first few posts I ever posted on this blog were to do with acting. I feel like not a lot of people know this about me, but I’m into acting. Since I quit my job, I figured I had the time so why not try auditioning for some stuff? So I auditioned for two short films and I’ve been cast in them both! I’m so unbelievably excited. You do not understand. I don’t want to jinx them, and I don’t want to celebrate prematurely because they haven’t been made yet and to my understanding, a lot could still change, but I’m excited.

I’m going to Toronto with my sister on Tuesday. We’re not doing any of the tourist stuff. Actually, we’re unlikely to leave our hotel for the five days we’re there. We’re doing an acting conference thing, comprised of workshops, competitions, and networking. We’ve got friends who are going as well, and who’ve been before. I’ve been told it’s going to be fun, but I’m as nervous as I am excited. I really want to do well.

I’ve signed myself up as a freelance editor on a local freelancer website. Hopefully my freelancing profile is put up soon and I can start doing projects. (Speaking of…) I’m also editing regularly over at Bearsleuth.com if you want to check out a few of the comics and pop-culture articles over that way.

By the way, I’ve officially been published. Two years of blogging and a Creative Writing degree later and I can finally say that. I did a small piece for GayCalgary Magazine and you can check it out here if you don’t believe me.

So that’s what’s been happening. Plus there are a bunch of other things still in the works that will hopefully become worth mentioning in the future. Thanks for sticking around even when I stop posting for a while.
