Despite the fact that I’ve only written a single post since the beginning of this month, people have kept subscribing to my blog. I appreciate the vote of confidence, and I suppose I should start writing again to make your loyalty worthwhile.

In case you haven’t guessed from the prolonged and unforgivable absence (I have a few too many of those) I’ve been busy. Mostly working, although these hours are easy compared to what the Christmas hours are going to be. In December I’ll be working 40 hour weeks, not including breaks. On top of that, I’m taking an online course (about Online Courses) which I’m still trying to figure out how to do. It’s a prerequisite because I think I’ll be doing an online course on editing in the spring.

And on top of all that, I’ve  been throwing myself, full throttle, into the film industry. Or at least as full-throttle as you can go in Calgary. In fact, I had an audition yesterday and I have another tomorrow, and tomorrow I’ve also got an acting class and then I’m filming a short film. I’m not in the short film, I just wrote it and I’m doing some behind the scenes stuff.

I’m even going to Toronto with my sister in February and we’re going to do some acting and I might even show off some of my scripts. Whether anything comes of it or not, it’ll be fun and I’m excited.

But with everything going on, I haven’t been writing. Not on my blog and not for my novel. I’ve done a bit of work on script pitches, but not enough.

And finally, on top of all of that, if nothing comes of working at acting and scripts, I’ll resign myself to go to university for Graphic Design, this time a four-year, full-time, Bachelor Degree course (because I no longer trust one-year diploma courses).

I guess you could say I’m going to give my least-likely dream a shot. And if it doesn’t go well, I have a few backup plans.

Also: This song is my Song of the Week which isn’t really a thing here, but it will be for this week so just go along with it.
