I love heights.

Am I afraid of them? Sure, I guess I have that healthy dose of fear that tells me to step away from an edge. But it never stops me from getting as close to the edge as possible. In fact, I don’t think I would love heights so much if I didn’t have that little fear inside. It’s what makes the “nice view” into something more. I guess you could say heights are my high.

I got a pretty good dosage today.

First stop this morning: The Eiffel Tower.

Prepare yourself for a shit-load of selfies.

Pre-booking a ticket is a good idea if you ever want to go. That’s what I did, and I’m really glad of it or else my Eiffel Tower morning would’ve been an Eiffel Tower day. And of course, I bought a ticket that would take me all the way to the top.

What’s the difference between the second floor of the Eiffel Tower and the top? Here, let me show you.

Second Floor:

It was a bit cloudly in the morning, as you can see.

It was awesome. Unfortunately, however, only the first floor had a glass floor. But you can bet I jumped and stomped on that glass (people’s reactions can be entertaining.)

Crazy long lineups down there.

I think I stayed for over three hours. I loved it.

View from inside one of the legs. It’s like a roller coaster! (That’s not a real guy hanging on the edge of the elevator, btw.)

After that I visited the Opera house (at least I think it was???) and there was a band so I stayed for a while and listened. They were pretty good.

Afterwards I went looking for something to do with tomorrow, so I won’t tell you much except that I spent two hours looking for it and couldn’t find it so I gave up and went to the Arc de Triomphe.

There were a lot of stairs involved. A lot.

I managed to time everything perfectly so that I arrived at the top just before sunset and I stayed up there and watched the sun set over Paris. It was beautiful, everything was glowing.

(I don’t have room for all the amazing-ness, so if you guys want to see more or buy any of these as prints, I will add them on my Society6 page when I get back.)

Afterwards, I walked down Champs-Élysées for a bit and had dinner at a place I remembered from May which I really liked. Then I went on the hunt for that thing again and this time I actually found it! Turns out, it was really close to that store with the expensive earbuds that I went to yesterday.

Not nearly as long as yesterday’s post, but eventful nonetheless. Tomorrow should be a good one and I hope my camera battery doesn’t run out so I can show it to all of you. Did I tell you guys my school took my camera charger? Well now you know. I’ve sent them a strongly worded email about it, but I might not get it back so if you notice my posts stop having pictures suddenly, that’s what happened.

One last thing before I forget:
