When I last updated you guys on my room at my mom’s, it was in this post. Well, I’ve made a few changes since, and I think this is as close to done as it’ll ever get. And you know what? I like it.
I stopped writing for a while. Half because I got busy, half because, I don’t know. I stopped feeling like a writer.
I’m in an airport as I write this, but won’t be anymore when you read it. I’m on my way to Ho Chi Minh city in Vietnam, where I will rendezvous with my mom, my sister Amy, and my brother Marvin. My flights were booked later and as a result, I’m travelling separately from them.
I had a bad day last week. The worst in a while, with a bunch of different not-fun things coming together all in that one day. And I discovered something amazing.
My room is nearing completion! Soon I’ll have everything in place for a room tour. until then, here’s a sneak peek at my room:
Every so often, I’ll have an idea for a story. This has been happening since long before I wrote. The ideas usually come right before bed or as soon as I wake up. I think it’s because that’s when I’m not busy with everything that normally occupies my mind. Unfortunately, it’s been a while since I’ve had a new story idea, but I had one this morning.
I’m back in Canada now. While I’m glad to see my dog, my brother, and my big soft bed, I’ve realized that I was missing things about home without even knowing it.
For the long weekend, my dad went on a trip and my siblings stayed at my mom’s house. I lost my phone and I had no car. Basically, I spent over 96 hours home alone except for my dog Foxy and a minnow my little brother caught at the lake last week. Sad, right?
